Key Responsibilities Litigation Legal Assistant:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting correspondence, organizing case files, and managing schedules.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Assist in the discovery process by organizing and managing documents, exhibits, and evidence.
- Conduct legal research and compile information as directed by attorneys.
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances, including preparing necessary materials.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progression.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications of the Litigation Legal Assistant:
- 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court systems, and litigation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Salary
$55,000-$65,000 per year
